BARE Magazine is UC Berkeley’s premiere fashion, lifestyle, and art publication. Since our debut in August 2007, BARE has gained diverse prominence on campus as well as national coverage in publications like the New York Times. Our objective to showcase the immense talent on our campus has gained us local and national exposure – BARE is recognizable from the East Bay to New York.
Our publication embodies the diversity of looks, trends, and people at Cal and all over the Bay Area. The emerging pool of student talent is something BARE takes pride in, and our magazine is entirely student-run and produced. We believe that producing a magazine entirely by students allows a unique insight into the publication industry as well as valuable experience, whether it be in design, photography, art, modeling, journalism, or business. This is a place for all students to express their creativity, no matter what their majors or interests are.
BARE publishes an all-color print publication quarterly, as well as the highly popular BARE blog, which receives over 19,000 unique readers monthly and was nominated for the Best Blogger award in the 2009 San Francisco Fashion Awards.
